about

'Paradise Lost' walks the godless deserts after The Fall. The places forsaken and forgotten where, nevertheless the Spirit seeks us in the darkness. Here is an album for those who sometimes feel distant from their destiny. For those who can still remember paradise. The distant, and yet, present past.

The first tracks float above Iblis as she wanders the Korban Waste alone. It is the track "Gethsemane", that pivots from the underworld to a world still lit by the sun. The song closes with the refrain, "Leave me praying, with my sky inside."

'Judas A.D.' was the first track we recorded completely analog on our tape machine. It was recorded live in one take. With the inimitable Scott Nicklas bringing life into the desert crows and cicadas.

In my mind it is 'Temptation' that drips with the marrow of 'Paradise Lost' Abby sings into your chest, drowning you in your own voice. A choir closes the track chanting in latin, "Lord, lord, beautiful lord, answer my prayer. Many roads in hell. Snake, snake, lonely eye."

The album closes with Mary of Magdala. This track was improvised live and recorded as it was written. Mary sings,

"I watched you for hours. Hours and hours. Will anything good come down from this?"

Perhaps this is the question of Paradise Lost.
We are deeply grateful for your hearts and your time.
